Gunroc Gal des Compagnons du Berger

Rocki became 1 year old at Oct. 19th. She’s a young dog that I’m very impressed with and am looking forward to see her development as a stockdog in the future. Hopefully she’ll be the good reindeer herder as I see potential for. I am really impressed with this Australian Shepherd female as she has a good mind (not afraid of many things) and is incredible fast. She’s always happy! I couldn’t be more pleased with this investment, she lives with my uncle and his family but I still meet her very often. Picture below was taken at 3 months old.

I wanted to mention her because her breeders, Isabelle & Bernard Rougetet (France) are repeating this litter for the last time (sire is twelve years old). They’re expecting puppies on my 20th Birthday (Dec. 10th).

Bitzi is offered for sale

After plenty of consideration I’ve decided to offer our Australian Shepherd female, Bitzi, for sale. She was bred and raised in America, I imported her to Sweden in March 2012. She’s soon to become two years old. There are plenty to say about this little girl, please email me for more questions. Below is a video of her working sheep (September 2012 at our property).

Bitzi is offered for a very good price to a good home,
please read more about her on her page.

Yesterdays work

Yesterday my father and I were out (together with a couple of more guys) and gathered reindeer on about 90 km2 area (should be about 22.000 acres). We got the luxury help of a helicopter also! I do believe that we gathered between three and four thousands of head on the entire day which was a good number.

Because of the fact that the snow finally arrived, we’ll be stepping into the busy season. Under the entire winter season we’ve got plenty of work. I know for sure that this is the favorite season for our dogs as well, unfortunately there’s not much for them to do on summers. Below is a picture of my US imported female Bitzi… 🙂

We also found a couple of reindeers stuck in the ice (which is kinda usual at this time a year). Together we got them up, so these two were lucky! 😀

Happy Birthday Rocki!

Today Rocki and her littermates turned 1 year old! Rocki is a beautiful red merle with white female out of Texas & Chips and was imported from France in December 2011 at the age of 8 weeks.

Rocki lived with me for about a month before my uncle and his family (wife and two young kinds) took her. She’s now living a wonderful life and get to work reindeer. My uncle and our family are keeping our livestock on the same pastures which will give me the perfect opportunity to watch her develop.

Below photos are both captured with my cell-phone as I usually meet her when I work…

Time to miss Docka

Today is the day to think about Docka, she would’ve been three years old now. I want to link to my dear friends and breeder of this wonderful dog Norma & John Hart, for letting me have her. Docka was the mother of our ”weapon litter” before she sadly passed away. I’ve met a couple of the pups from this litter at a more mature age and I’m very pleased with the results.
